Each option's score = Σ(weight × rating) normalized to a 0–10 scale, so weights don't need to sum to 100. Score cells are 1–10. The winning option is highlighted.

What is Weighted Scoring?

A weighted scoring model ranks options against criteria you define, each with its own weight — so the decision reflects what actually matters to you, not just gut feel.

Score = Σ(criterion weight × option rating) ÷ total weight

How to read your result

  • Define your own criteria and assign each a weight.
  • Score every option 1–10 on each criterion.
  • Weights are normalized, so they needn't sum to 100.
  • The highest weighted total is the recommended choice.

Frequently asked questions

How is the weighted score calculated?

Each option's rating on a criterion is multiplied by that criterion's normalized weight, and the products are summed into a single 0–10 score.
